Ronke is a seasoned professional with cognizant experience in both the public and private sector as well as a businesswoman in the entrepreneurial space with over 28 years’ experience. She has been active in the beverage manufacturing and marketing business, in agriculture and agribusiness ventures, in oil and gas as well as power related projects.

In the area of oil and gas her skills span operations, trading and marketing and management. She is considered as one of the go-to persons in the Nigeria oil and gas sector and is a sought after international speaker and Panelist on Nigeria energy related topics. She is a regular commentator and guest on oil and gas discussions on radio, social media and television.

Ronke acts as an energy and power consultant to His Excellency Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Governor of Ogun State, she is rolling out a 1000MW plan for the state before 2019. In the current government she has acted in the capacity of the supervising commissioner for the Agriculture ministry of the state.

Ronke has over the past 5 years acted in the capacity of a consultant for FOSTER (Facility for Oil Sector Transparency and Accountability), an initiative of the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), she also acts as a consultant to Natixis, a French financial institution that has recently entered into the Nigeria oil and gas financing space and acts as an agent for international clients in the energy, power and oil and gas sector.

Her focus in the industry has rested on the Nigeria oil sector value chain issues, the Petroleum Industry Bill, downstream sector issues, development of Nigeria’s refining capacity, human capacity building, information dissemination, governance and legislature in the oil sector.

For over 11 years she worked with A financial institution active in oil and has in Nigeria as the consultant and advisor. She managed BNP Paribas formal entry into Nigeria covering corporate and investment banking, asset management and private banking. She was the first appointed country director and in-country representative for BNP Paribas and upon BNP Paribas exit from the continent she took on an identical role for Natixis in 2016. She advises and represents the bank’s entire service offering including but not limited to business development and client management services.

Her areas of practice include but are not limited to performing due diligence on persons, corporates and transactions, corporate relationship development and relationship management, market research and market entry strategy, gap analysis and audit, government policy compliance for international firms active in Nigeria, account management and conflict management, origination and management of deals and non technical aspects of the execution process.

She is also the principal consultant at DRNL Consult Limited, UK and Delt-R Company Limited, Nigeria. She is on the board of several companies with interests in agriculture, food and beverage manufacturing, telecommunications, education and human capacity development and oil and gas sector.

As an entrepreneur she has offered her time and services as a facilitator, coach and mentor to women and young people and was a columnist for the Success Digest magazines for many years writing on entrepreneurship. As a youth empowerment advocate she works with several platforms.
