ChiChi Okonjo is the founder and chairman of Ventures Africa, one of the fastest growing digital media companies in Africa which focuses on business, political and general news in Africa. He is also the Managing Director of Georgetown Capital Partners and its subsidiary, Georgetown Consulting which engages in advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, deal advisory, expansion strategy and leveraged growth. ChiChi has just joined the board of a global venture capital firm with offices in Dubai, New York, San Francisco and Singapore as a Global Partner and Venture Partner in charge of Africa. He also serves as a director in NOI-Gallup Polls, West Africa’s premier polling and data analysis organization. He was the inspiration behind WIYAS, a major gathering to discuss the Africa strategy of various companies.

ChiChi has over 21 years’ experience working in the United States, Nigeria and South Africa. His experience covers areas such as financial management, strategic management, business planning, change management and forensic analysis/audits both in the public and private sectors. He has worked for Mercer, Accenture and has consulted for several Fortune 500 companies. ChiChi holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics with distinction from University of Maryland, College Park and an MBA from McDonough Business School, Georgetown University. ChiChi’s current interests span the technology space with a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence.
