At the 2014 Annual Conference, one of the issues that was re-ignited was the low representation of women in politics; more importantly was the dearth of suitably qualified professionals in politics and the effect of this gap on national development. As a result, female involvement in politics and in public offices generally became one of the focal issues for WIMBIZ in 2015, hence the need for WIMBIZ Women in Politics Program.
