A leading energy and infrastructure sector executive, Rolake has more than 15 years track-record of helping to finance and scale businesses across Africa. She is currently part of the Group Executive Management team, as Chief Commercial Officer, of leading infrastructure and housing developer, Mixta Africa, helping to craft and execute its commercialisation and market development strategy across subsidiaries in 6 African countries.

Prior to this, she was the Senior Africa Advisor to IFU, the Danish Investment Fund and sat on the global advisory board of Canadian Private Equity firm, Stonechair Capital. From 2014 – 2019 she was head of energy, oil and gas for FBN Capital and FBNQuest Merchant Bank, during which time she was also a member from 2017-2019, of the private sector economic advisory group in the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria supporting the VP’s office on a range of national development policy issues. Prior to FBNQuest Merchant Bank, she was head of the energy, infrastructure and power research team at pan-African Ecobank Group covering 33 African markets out of London. She has also previously worked with Eurasia Group in London and the European Commission in Brussels.

A highly engaging thought-leader, she expertly distils complex topics on global economy, markets and business, on platforms like BBC, CNBC and others, and regularly writes for the Africa Report. She was recognised as a top 275 Global Female Influencer Executives (2020) in Energy by the UK’s Women In Energy Council, and is a 2019 and 2020 Choiseul Institute 200 Young Economic Leaders in Africa and was listed in the MIPAD 100 Under 40 in the 2018 Business and Entepreneurship Category. A recipient of the Jane M. Klausmann Women in Business Scholarship from Zonta International. Rolake has a BSc & an MSc degree from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Global Executive MBA degree from TRIUM. She is an advisory board member of the African Energy Chamber, and Aruwa Capital Management, and is founder of non-profit accelerator and analytics platform, InaTidé, helping off-grid renewable energy entrepreneurs scale. In her spare time, she coaches executives in effective communication, enjoys mentoring young women, and is a passionate and experienced piano player.
